Freelance Writing Jobs at Craigslist

April 10, 2008 · Filed Under Find Freelance and Work At Home Jobs

Publishers, blog owners, and webmasters need writers just as you much as you need writing jobs. A great place to find writing jobs is Craigslist. You will almost find a writing job with your specific qualifications - you just have to be there when the jobs are posted. The easiest way to do this is bookmark the various sections (by city) with writing jobs and visit them often. Most people post ads looking for freelance writers daily and weekly.

Here is how you would find writing jobs posted in the San Francisco Bay Area:

  • Type this URL into your web browser: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/
  • Look for the link: writing / editing. Click on that link.
  • Filter out the telecommuting and contract jobs by checking the telecommute and contact. Next click the search button to refresh the search. See diagram below.

Here are a few sample writing jobs available in Washington D.C. using the above technique:

You can use the above technique for other freelance and contract jobs as well.

I hope this helps. Wishing you much success on your freelance job hunt.
