Free Directory Assistance From Google
Directory assistance calls can be expensive. On our last cell phone bill, I noticed that my teenage daughter dialed directory assistance. That call was $1.79. I just knew that there had to be a free alternative. Actually there are several.
The first one is 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411). With this great service from Google, you can get local business information for. It’s really easy. Just dial the toll free number, provide the location and business type, and Google will connect you for free. If you’re using your cell phone, you can even have Google send you the information via a text message with a map. You can get more information here. I also found a great service you can use with Skype. It’s called 1-800-FREE411. Both SKYPE and 1-800-FREE411 are free services.
