How To Use The eBay Affiliate Program To Earn Extra Money

How would you like to earn a little extra money with something you are passionate about? It’s easier than you think. I’m going to show you how I set an online store with my passion, everything vintage. You can view Jackie’s Attic here. This is an online store I set where I earn commissions through the eBay affiliate program.

You earn money when a website visitor clicks through your affiliate link at your online store and completes a bid or BIN that results in a successful transaction within 7 days after clicking your affiliate link. The amount you can earn is from 50% to 75%. The amount earned is based on a tiered payment percentage of fees earned by eBay.

Once you have signed up for the affiliate program, you are ready to set up your online store.

First, you’ll need a hosting account. I recommend Tiger Technologies. I have been with them for years. I have a hosting account with free domain name for $6.95 per month. Plus their support is the best in the business.

Next, you need a way to display the listings on your website. You can use the tools already prepared for you within the eBay affiliate control panel. At Jackie’s Attic I used a program called Auction RSS Content Script created by JCE Consulting Inc. It’s easy to set up and the price is right ($7.00). You could also use CaRP, for more design flexibility. If you would like to add an eBay store to your blog you could use PHPBay. Both CaRP and PHPBay offer free plug-ins for WordPress. You will want to research what the best solution for you will be.

And lastly, you’ll want to add original content such as articles you’ve written about your passion. You could also write a short eBook on a topic you know well and offer it as a free download.
